The expert revealed she was 16-years-old and had saved up £10,000 which she used to purchase her first property in London.
“Dad was the guarantor when your dad could be the guarantor in those days,” Lucy explained.
James asked: “Is that what set you up for your love of property?”
She replied: “Erm…I suppose so. As a kid, my parents would always say, ‘Oh, we’re just going to get out of the car to have a look at a house.’ So forever and a day we were always viewing and looking at properties as children.”
The BBC favourite then jokingly threatened she would leave James’ show if he didn’t allow her to have a look around his home where he films Saturday Morning.
Lucy chimed: “Even today coming to see you, I was like, ‘If you don’t show me around your house I’m going.’”
James Martin’s Saturday Mornings continues today on ITV at 9.30am.
