Laura Whitmore has taken over the reins from Caroline Flack as the 2020 host of the winter edition of Love Island, based in South Africa. Last night, Britons were introduced to the new villa and five couples before feathers were ruffled with the arrival of blonde twins Jess and Eve Gale into the relationship-based reality show. However, with the recent change of hosts, many are wondering who Laura Whitmore is and what her net worth is?
Laura was born on the 4 May 1985 in Bray, Ireland, making her 34 years old.
She grew up in Bray, Ireland, with her two brothers and parents, before moving to Dublin, where she studied journalism at Dublin City University.
Whitmore then moved over to the US, attending Boston University for a year abroad.

Laura started dating the Scottish comedian Iain Stirling back in July 2017, after meeting him at an ITV bash in 2016.
Laura Whitmore is best known for hosting the reality TV show, Survival of the Fittest in 2018 – which featured Dani Dyer, but unfortunately had to quit the show after dislocating her shoulder.
She also hosted the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here spin-off show, I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp on ITV2 between 2011-2015, and took part in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2016.
As well as presenting TV shows, Laura has hosted several music events, including the Isle of Wight Festival coverage, The BRITs Backstage, and V Festival.
The 34-year-old announced she’d be taking over winter Love Island with an excited Instagram post, thanking ITV for “trusting” her to be at the helm of such a huge show.
Her recent signing to the main Love Island cast will also be contributing to her vast fortune.
It was recently reported that Laura and her agent have negotiated her a monster six-figure fee for her to host the new series of Love Island.
