“I think it belonged to my great aunt who gave some items to my mother and I just took a fancy to it and she said ‘take it,’” the lady revealed.
“How long ago was that?” the expert continued and she replied: “Probably about 10, 15 years, I can’t remember.”
“It’s lovely,” the expert remarked. “It’s painted with dragons, phoenixes, flowers and we’ve got buddha symbols around the border here. But if we turn it over we’ve got a six character Chinese mark.”
He then read out what the markings said in Chinese and then translated it.
