He said: “We haven’t had time to spend with everyone, and Maura. I haven’t seen Maura in a little bit.
“We’re lucky because we have mobile phones so we can stay in contact so easily but it is a shame.”
Maura will be taking to the ice for her first live performance on Sunday.
The worried skater admitted: “I’m a nervous wreck. Everyone was asking me last Sunday how I was feeling and I said I just want to get on the ice now.
“I’m feeling very nervous. This is the most nervous I’ve been feeling about anything in my life. Just watching and seeing how well everyone has done and now I have to do better.”
