Man Utd plot double Ajax swoop, Chelsea eye secret £50m transfer, Arsenal bid, Liverpool

Liverpool eye Leon Bailey

According to Goal, Liverpool are interested in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

He is seen as a cheaper alternative for Jadon Sancho and could provide back up for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Bailey was actually tracked by the Reds before he moved to Germany in 2017, where he has proved a real hit with his pace and trickery.

Jurgen Klopp wants to add more depth to his squad and Bailey could be the perfect addition to his frontline.

Chelsea receive Moussa Dembele update

Chelsea have been dealt a blow, after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that the striker wants to stay at the club.

“They are not pieces of good news that are coming from Spain, but they are pieces of news… Moussa Dembele will not leave because he wants to stay to win something with Lyon,” he said on the club’s website.

“There have been offers for him and for other players but none of those that we want to keep will leave in January.”

Dembele has been the subject of interest from Chelsea, who are prepared to offer around £34million for his services.

Man Utd eye double Ajax swoop

Manchester United are admirers of both Donny Van de Beek and Hakim Ziyech, according to ESPN.

The report claims that United are even considering a January move for the Netherlands international.

United are short in the middle of the park and are looking to bolster their options, particularly after injuries to Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.

Ziyech was recently named in the African Team of the Year after starring for Ajax on their way to the Champions League semi-finals.

Chelsea are eyeing secret £50m deal

Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has confessed he has intel that Chelsea are after a fellow Premier League club’s central defender.

Solhekol said: “There’s one player, whose name has been mentioned to me, he’s a central defender at a rival Premier League club.

“Some of the agents involved in the deal are quite hopeful that it could happen this month.

“I’ve been sworn to secrecy but he’s a centre-back at a rival Premier League club.”

Chelsea do have a buy-back clause of Nathan Ake, but it appears they are eyeing other centre-backs.

Arsenal eye Dayot Upamecano bid

Arsenal are plotting a bid for Dayot Upamecano, but not until the summer according to Goal.

The RB Leipzig stalwart is a target for the Gunners who do not have masses of cash to spend this January.

That’s because they spent up to £150million last summer and also have William Saliba to return from his loan at Saint-Etienne.

Leipzig do not want to sell this month and currently sit top of the Bundesliga.
