Watch: Drivers go wild for cheap car cleaning trick using slime

The ingenious slime solution is even able to pick up dirt from difficult to reach areas such as air vents and cup holders. Dust particles will stick to the slime which can be rolled around parts of your car to clear the mess.

Mixing these together will create a sticky solution which can be used in a similar way to professional store items.

Social media users praised the slime solution online as many motorists expressed their interest in using the method.

One user said: “Kids have been using slime wrong this whole time.”

Another added: “My niece’s slime actually looks like it’ll come in handy now.”

Other homemade car solutions this winter

In another social media craze, motorists have been using warm bags of water to clear frost and ice cover from their vehicles.

Motoring experts have advised hot water should never be applied directly to a car windscreen as this can cause the glass to crack.

However, road users have been seen filling sandwich bags with lukewarm water and then running this across a windscreen as a simple way to clear light frost cover in the mornings.

Tesco has urged motorists to make a homemade de-icer solution by mixing three parts distilled vinegar with one part water.

The homemade solution should be applied to a car windscreen and left for five minutes to clear the bulk of ice.

Your car windscreen wipers should then be suing enough to clear the remaining frost and ice cover to ensure clear visibility.
