Coronation Street spoilers: Geoff Metcalfe to kill as Brian Packham discovers abuse?

Coronation Street viewers watched over recently months the brutal mental demise of poor Yasmeen Nazir (played by Shelley King) at the hands of her manipulative husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew). And, it’s safe to say fans of the ITV soap can’t wait for him to get caught for who he really is.

But will it all come to a very sinister light as Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) discovers what he’s been up to?

Spoilers images have suggested that Geoff is soon to make a grave mistake, as he launches into a tirade at Yasmeen in front of Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill).

In scenes set to air next week, Geoff once again exerts his dominance over Yasmeen, as they row about her cleaning efforts.

A tussle ensues over the vacuum cleaner which leads to Geoff falling and hitting his face on a nearby table.

Mortified, Yasmeen goes to fetch some ice to comfort her husband who she already knows has a vicious temper.

And, as viewers suspect, Geoff begins to hurl abuse at his wife, unaware that Cathy had returned to collect her bag.

Will Cathy be the one to reveal all about his villainous behaviour and save Yasmeen?

Or will she take action another way, and tell Brian who, in his good nature, will try to intervene leading to ghastly consequences?

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Fiz Stape (Jenny McAlpine) has been left reeling from the events on Christmas Day, where her gun was used to take down Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) in a dramatic festive shooting that also saw gunman Derek Milligan (Craig Els) fall to his death after terrorising the locals.

But, the situation is set to take a darker turn in future scenes.

In new spoilers on Coronation Street’s official website, it’s revealed that Fiz could be in serious trouble when she comes clean about the gun used in the massacre.

In episodes set to air next week, Fiz will plead guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and will receive a four month sentence, suspended for two years and a £500 fine.

After telling the police how she unwittingly bought the gun that later disappeared as part of a house clearance, things can only be about to get worse for the mum-of-two.

And, with the ITV soap not scared of putting iconic characters behind bars over the years, will Fiz be the next to succumb to the full force of the law for her actions?

What will this mean for her family?

Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7:30pm on ITV.
