PS5 2020 reveal: PlayStation 5 Logo and other news shared by Sony at CES

Sony shared some big news during its CES 2020 conference, albeit light on any gaming details for the PS5 console.

While it may sound small, the tech giant revealed the new PlayStation 5 logo, which won’t be causing any shock waves online.

It looks exactly like you would imagine it would, with Sony keeping it nice and simple.

Unfortunately, when it came to new details about what the PS5 can do, there wasn’t much else shared that fans won’t have heard before.

Something that is being pushed hard right now is the new SSD Hard Drive, which will create faster load times and improved open world performance.

There was also news regarding the 3D audio support, which is all stuff that has already been fleshed out.

Sony also stuck to its line that the PlayStation 5 console will be launching during 2020, with no firm month or day confirmed yet.

Sony Electronics also announced today its new Z8H 8K LED, A8H and MASTER Series A9S OLED, and X950H and X900H 4K LED televisions.

“Delivering a personalized, immersive and true-to-life viewing experience is a core focus when developing our next generation TVs,” said Mike Fasulo, president and chief operating officer of Sony Electronics North America.

“This lineup offers incredible new features to optimize the consumer experience and continue to deliver the creator’s intent in both 4K and 8K resolution.”

Sony also confirmed that the upcoming next-generation gaming consoles will work with these select new models to support 8K HDR (7,680 x 4,320) resolution, 4K (3,840 x 2,160) 120fps high frame rate and fast response time via HDMI inputs to deliver maximum performance.
