And tech equity researcher Pelham Smithers has backed the system to sell millions in its first year on the market.
“While the history of the game console in China is not a happy one, lack of success is not necessarily down to lack of interest on the part of the consumer,” Smithers shared in a note that Bloomberg reported in a post online.
“After all: if China’s consumers didn’t play console video games, the authorities wouldn’t have bothered banning them in the first place.”

And one thing that ties it to the launch of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is that Smithers has backed Switch software sales to range between six million and 12 million in the current period, followed by a massive expansion in the period ending March 2021.
