If you’ve got an Xbox One and a Games with Gold subscription, then it’s worth checking out the latest free download from Microsoft.
As part of its Free Play Days promotion, Microsoft is giving Games with Gold and Games Pass Ultimate members the chance to download a highly-rated racing classic for free.
With a score of 82% on Metacritic for the Xbox One, Dirt 2.0 is the latest game to be offered for free by Microsoft.
A nice bonus for Games with Gold subscribers, Dirt 2.0 is only available for free until 7.59am UK time on January 6, so you’d better hurry if you want to take advantage of the deal.
The news was announced over on Xbox Wire by Microsoft: “Free Play Days is back this weekend with another exciting game for you to play!
“Carve your way through the competition in DiRT Rally 2.0.
“Featuring iconic locations in New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Australia and the USA, develop your team and cars and rely on instinct in the most immersive off-road experience yet.”
If you enjoy the Free Play Days trial and want to continue playing Dirt Rally 2.0 after the promotion ends, then Microsoft has even more good news for fans.

For a limited time only, Xbox One owners can purchase Dirt Rally 2.0 for just £16.49.
That represents a huge saving of 70% on the original £54.99 asking price. Alternatively, you could opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition, which now costs £22.49.
Or if you really want to push the boat out, the Super Deluxe Edition now costs £44.99.
“Buy the DiRT Rally 2.0 Super Deluxe Edition and receive the DiRT Rally 2.0 base game plus all content included in Seasons 1-4,” Microsoft explains.
“24 cars, 11 tracks & locations, exclusive liveries, credit drops and high reward events.
“Also includes the latest 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship season updates.”
Speaking of Games with Gold, subscribers can now download the first batch of January 2020 free games.
This includes Styx: Shards of Darkness on Xbox One, as well as Tekken 6 on Xbox 360.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is a stealth game first released back in 2017 on a number of different platforms.
