The summer holiday paradise home Cliff Richard is selling for £6.8m

The luxury six-bedroom home, in the Sugar Hill Estate on Barbados, is set in 2.6 acres of land and boasts tennis courts and a swimming pool.

Superstar singer Sir Cliff, 79, bought the plot 20 years ago.

Then-prime minister Tony Blair and his family spent three summer holidays there in a row, starting in 2003.

The property, called Coral Sundown, was first listed for sale in December 2017, shortly after Sir Cliff sold his £2.9million flat in Sunningdale, Berkshire, the site of an infamous police raid televised by the BBC.

At the time, the price for the Caribbean retreat was estimated to be £6million. It was later taken off the market, but it has just returned with Hamptons International.

As well as the main six-bedroom mansion, the property has a palm tree-lined driveway leading to a double garage.

Four ground-floor bedroom suites open out to the gardens, while the other two on the first floor have private balconies with panoramic sea views.

According to the estate agents, the property also has a separate pool house with a second kitchen and dining table. Photographs of the interior show marble flooring and Egyptian-themed decor.

Residents at the estate also have access to all of the community’s amenities, including a restaurant, two shared swimming pools, four tennis courts, a gym and 24-hour security.

In 2018, Sir Cliff was awarded more than £200,000 in damages after winning a High Court privacy battle against the BBC over its coverage of a 2014 police search of his Berkshire home.

Sir Cliff, whose hits include Summer Holiday and Living Doll, had denied an allegation of historical sexual assault and was never arrested. In June 2016, prosecutors announced that he would face no charges.
