Outlander returns in just over a month, and fans of the show are looking forward to returning to the world of Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe). But with so many changes on the horizon, fans aren’t exactly sure what is going to happen in the upcoming episodes.
With Jamie and Claire now reaching a mature age, the pair may not indulge in such raunchy scenes as demonstrated in the first few seasons.
And although this fact could leave fans a little upset, Jamie star Sam Heughan has spoken out about the couple’s relationship.
Speaking to TV Insider he teased: “They might be the grandparents of the show now, but Claire and Jamie are still the sexiest couple.”
With the next generation of characters Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) getting more air time, the show may focus on them a bit more.

Later in the interview, Sam spoke of this new rivalry, and praised it for how intense it is.
On the impending battle against Murtagh, Sam explained: “For me, it’s the most fun and interesting storyline to see Jamie pitched against his godfather.
“Inside, Jamie is still the Highland warrior — you see flashes of that — but he’s a military man now.
“So it’s a new style of fighting. There’s a cannon and muskets and pistols.”
But will this new style of fighting see Jamie killing his beloved godfather in the soon-to-commence battle?
One thing is for sure, fans will fall in love with the brand new character Adso.
Adso, a brand new cat in the Fraser family, was first penned in the Outlander books.
It is not yet certain what part Adso is going to play in the show, but fans may remember his arrival in the books.
Jamie presented him to Claire and explained: “He’ll keep the vermin from your surgery.”
But Claire wasn’t completely happy with the cat, as she replied: “Well, possibly very small vermin.
“I think a large cockroach could carry him — is it a him? — off to its lair, let alone a mouse.”
Outlander season 5 airs Sunday, February 16 on Starz and Monday, February 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
