Man Utd player ratings vs Wolves: Brandon Williams impresses as one regular star flops

LB – Brandon Williams – 7

Matched Traore for pace early on to cut out a ball into the box and generally coped with Wolves’ right-flank threat impressively before tiring late on. Lucky that Doherty’s headed goal was ruled out as he came into the box unmarked.

CM – Nemanja Matic – 6

Had an air of authority in midfield when on the ball but lacked the speed and mobility to keep up with the game out of possession. Caught out of position too often.

CM – Andreas Pereira – 4

Game to forget for the Brazilian. Not his favoured role sitting in a two-man midfield but really did look lost at times and was caught in possession on a couple of occasions. Showed tenacity and fight off the ball but still no signs he can cut it as a regular starter at United.

RW – Tahith Chong – 6

Grew into the game in the second half and looked dangerous when running at Wolves’ full-backs, delivered some inviting balls into the area. Underwent his defensive duties well. Could prove a solid squad player for United should they convince him to sign a new contract.
