Alan Titchmarsh: ‘I think I will have pegged it’ star makes morbid career prediction

He finally said that he hoped the British public would get on board with doing more gardening and growing their own food.

He concluded that he wanted the UK to “experience the joy of growing things, and to eat local produce that’s been responsibly grown”.

Alan’s illustrious broadcasting career dates back to the 1980’s.

He started out presenting coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show for the BBC in 1983.

He’s gone on to host incredibly popular gardening and nature themed shows including Secrets of the National Trust, Ground Force and The Queen’s Garden.
