Man Utd readying £50m bid, Arsenal January exit agreed, Chelsea swap deal, Liverpool plan

Abraham to Man City?

Manchester City are reportedly interested in Tammy Abraham with the Chelsea star having impressed this season. Abraham’s contract at Stamford Bridge does not run out until June 2022 though reports suggest he is stalling over signing a new deal.

Abraham is believed to be demanding a £180,000 per week contract from the Blues, which would represent a significant rise.

And Le10Sport claim that Manchester City have been alerted to the difficulties that Abraham is facing in his negotiations with Chelsea.

It’s reported that the Etihad outfit have expressed their interest and could open discussions in the coming months.

Abraham has scored 12 Premier League goals this season having been trusted by Blues boss Frank Lampard to lead the line at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s Zaha swap deal

Chelsea could reportedly offer Crystal Palace one of their own strikers in an attempt to lure Wilfried Zaha to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have been linked with the winger and could make a move in January having had their transfer ban halved.

It leaves Chelsea boss Frank Lampard available to try and make deals next month as he looks to strengthen his squad.

The Blues had been stopped from making transfers for breaking FIFA rules during the summer but Lampard is now keen to improve his attacking options.

Tammy Abraham has impressed though the likes of Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi have struggled when given a chance.

Zaha could be Lampard’s answer and the Telegraph claim the Chelsea are still interested though Crystal Palace still value the Ivorian at £80million.

However, it is reported that the Eagles would be interested in Giroud or Batshuayi, potentially opening the door to a swap deal.

Arsenal exit

Arsenal ace Granit Xhaka has agreed a deal to join Hertha Berlin in January.

The Independent claim the midfielder would join on loan with a view to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Hertha Berlin are willing to fork out £25m in the summer for the Switzerland international.

However, Mikel Arteta will have the final say on the deal.

Man Utd £50m Calvert-Lewin bid

Manchester United are ready to table a £50m bid for Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Sun say the striker tops Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s summer wishlist.

The England youngster is seen as an alternative to Erling Haaland, who snubbed United to sign for Borussia Dortmund.

It’s claimed Calvert-Lewin has been a transfer target for United for months.

Liverpool plan

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp isn’t finished in the January transfer window just yet. Despite already signing £7.25million forward Takumi Minamino, the Reds are still open to making new additions to their squad, as long as they improve their current squad of players.

Sky Sports’ Vinny O’Connor said: “Liverpool have wanted to sign a new versatile forward and it appears they have their man in Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg for a seemingly bargain price of £7.25m.

“Other than that, the Reds are open to anything that can improve on what they have got.

“But with a Champions League-winning squad and one on course for a first Premier League title, that leaves their options very limited.”
