Joe Biden forced to stop speech as Donald Trump supporter shouts 'you pervert' at rally

The former Barack Obama’s vice president was interrupted by a few Donald Trump supporters in Milford, New Hampshire, on Sunday night. In a video that appeared after the rally on social media, the hecklers can be heard branding Mr Biden a “creep” and a “pervert”. One of them challenged the former vice president saying: “Don’t touch kids, you pervert.”

The Democrat hit back saying “this is democracy” as he attempted to remind the hecklers “this is not a Trump rally”.

But at this point, a woman started chanting “quid pro Joe,” before another person shouted at the 2020 hopeful, inquiring about his business dealings in Ukraine.

He replied: “I’ve released 21 years of my tax returns, how many has yours?

“What’s he hiding?”

President Trump is alleged to have wanted dirt on Mr Biden and has been accused of going to the Ukraine President Volodomyr Zelensky asking Kiev to launch an investigation into the former vice president and his son regarding their work at a Ukrainian gas company.

In October this year, Mr Biden criticised President Trump for his use of the term “lynching” as the White House chief, saying: “Impeachment is not ‘lynching,’ it is part of our Constitution.”

But in an old interview resurfaced shortly after his comments, Mr Biden, speaking in 1988, used the very same term.

In October 1998, Mr Biden said: “Even if the President should be impeached, history is going to question whether or not this was just a partisan lynching or whether or not it was something that in fact met the standard, the very high bar, that was set by the founders as to what constituted an impeachable offense.”

The socialist has sought to appeal to the younger generation with his promises of high-speed internet for everyone and free public colleges and universities.

Mr Biden’s values are at odds with some of the proposals put forward by rivals Massachusetts senator Ms Warren and Mr Sanders.

Mr Biden served as vice-president under Barack Obama for eight years.
