GTA 5 Online DOWN: Server Status latest and Rockstar Games news

GTA 5 Online servers are down tonight, with gamers waiting for the next update from developers Rockstar Games.

As you might expect, a lot of players are currently stuck in the clouds above Los Santos, waiting to load back into the popular multiplayer mode.

But for now, the Rockstar Games server status page is currently showing online services as suffering from outage issues.

These include for GTA Online servers on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

It’s currently unclear what is causing tonight’s outage or how long server issues will affect GTA Online.

The latest update from Rockstar Games confirms: “We are experiencing unusually high contact volume at this time and are working to respond to requests in the order they were received. Thank you for your patience.”

As mentioned above, gamers playing GTA Online are affected, as are gamers trying to access Red Dead Online tonight.

The latest news from gamers is that this is a worldwide outage, affecting GTA Online in Europe and other major regions like the United States and Canada.

One user writes: “Down in Amsterdam on PC, tells me I need to download additional files in order to play online.”

Another adds: “Are we all involved in some sort of hacking or are they down for everyone, that’s what I’d like to know.”

Based on previous outages, we would expect servers to recover pretty quickly, although there is currently no ETA on when this might happen.

The only good news is that the current Rockstar Games server status has not changed to red, which would mean major issues for gamers tonight.
