Overall, the film is lighthearted and not particularly upsetting, therefore most children should enjoy the adaptation and not find much to upset them.
However, as the BBFC correctly explains, all parents should consider their own child’s needs before taking them along as it is difficult to predict what could upset a child, therefore parents should proceed with caution.
As the film is a fairly economical two hours and 15 minutes, which is a fair length given the amount which takes place in Little Women, some parents may decide to see the film before bringing their children along.
