Gangland links to man shot dead in front of his family

Flamur “Alex” Beqiri, 36, was gunned down outside his £1.5million home in a “targeted” hit, police say.

Mr Beqiri’s wife, Debora Krasniqi, and their young child witnessed the shooting on Christmas Eve.

Scotland Yard last night confirmed it is working with Swedish police to probe any links between gang wars in Sweden and the hit in Battersea, south-west London.

The father, who was shot up to 10 times, is believed to be one of Sweden’s most wanted men after being linked to a £2million cannabis smuggling plot 12 years ago, when police accused him of fleeing a bust.

Retribution The drugs charges were later dropped.

He was instead found guilty of handling smuggled cigarettes and alcohol and given a suspended sentence.

He is the brother of former Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri, and married wife Debora in Cernobbio by Lake Como, Italy, in October last year.

Detective Inspector Jamie Stevenson, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “What I can say is that Flamur, who is of Swedish nationality and Albanian heritage, had been living in London for four or five years.
