It seems the saying that the apple does not fall far from the tree is true for Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, as the 13-year-old girl shows the same dedication to basketball as her father.
Recently, Vanessa Bryant, mother of Gigi and wife to Kobe, shared some posts on Instagram showing her daughter playing basketball, while she is dressed in an elegant black dress and high heels.
The teenager, who, just like her legendary father, is outstanding in the sport, decided that she must show up on her basketball practice even though she had to be present at an earlier Christmas gathering.
The proud mother titled the series of pictures with the explanation her daughter came to train on her handle after coming from a Christmas show and added some emojis: one Christmas tree, a heart, and a basketball. Kobe’s wife jokingly finished her post with the words, “Don’t mess up mommy’s shoes… k thx”.
Vanessa also added hashtag with the nickname she and Kobe reportedly use to call their daughter, Mambacita, which allegedly comes from “The Black Mamba” — the way her father was called at the peak of his career.
One person replied: “She’s definitely her father’s child ♥️Excellent, but please protect your ankles/knees from future injury.”
A follower, who fears the teen might hurt herself with the heels, said: “Those shoes are making every basketball player grab their ankle and cringe.eh…coach Kobe had to do something bc he didn’t get that boy. Lool nothin’ but bad karma for how he treated his parents tho.💯 Oh well, d wade & LeBron sons may go pro bro.💯💯 You’ll see them from the sidelines. Enjoy your four girls tho.😂😂”

Currently, Gigi is part of Kobe’s AAU team and reportedly has aspirations to continue her education at the University of Connecticut, where she could play for the women’s basketball team.
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant tied the knot on April 18 back in 2001, and together they share four daughters. The couple welcomed their fourth child in June this year.
