Neil Jones spotted supporting Katya Jones after she admits they're in 'no rush' to divorce

Ahead of this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, Neil Jones, 37, and Katya Jones, 30, announced they had split after six years of marriage. Proving they are still good friends despite their break-up, the former revealed he had attended her debut pantomime performance in The Wizard of Oz last night.

The professional dancer, who was partnered with Alex Scott in this year’s series of the BBC One competition, uploaded a picture of the pantomine’s program and wrote: “Good luck @mrs_katyjones.”

Neil then shared a clip of his estranged wife twirling around on stage and said: “Go get them.”

Katya re-shared the posts to her own Instagram stories, and issued a warning to Neil.

“No heckling,” she joked, alongside a laughing emoji.

On whether it was tough working together on Strictly after their split, she explained: “It was tough, but the show was really positive for both of us because it was good to have something to focus on.

“It wasn’t an instant decision to split up, it doesn’t happen overnight. We were together for 11 years and married for six.

“I’ve still got my beautiful ring on.”

Back in August, Katya and Neil shared a joint statement telling fans they had decided to separate.

Their lengthy post read: “After 11 years, we have made the mutual decision to separate. We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends.

“This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together.

“Our shared love of dance means we will keep working and dancing together as well as exploring individual projects,” they continued. “No matter what we do we will always support and respect each other.”

Katya’s interview is in this week’s OK! Magazine, out now.
