As usual, the drama is all meant to go down on Christmas Day, but will viewers be heading into the new year without one of their favourite and most trusted characters?
One viewer on Twitter said: “Jean talking about it being the beginning of the end, don’t let that be foreshadowing.”
Another added: “Awww Jean dont say that, it cant be the end, we arent ready to say goodbye.”
Soap star Gillian has previously spoken out about playing Jean’s cancer storyline and revealed it’s made her better at “living in the moment”.
