TV star Jenny Ryan, 37, took to Instagram this afternoon after being bitten by a spider.
The quizzer, who is best known as “The Vixen” on ITV quiz show The Chase, posted a picture of her injury on the social media site following the incident.
The image showed the television star’s wrist covered in a layer of plastic to protect the area from infection.
In her caption she joked that it looked like she’d got a new tattoo.
Jenny told her 26,600 followers: “Gonna pretend I’ve got a rad new tattoo when in fact it’s a spider bite. #GlamorousShowbizLifestyle.”
One Instagram user commented: “Omg some spider Jenny.”(sic)
Another added: “Spider bite is fairly rad tbf.”(sic)
Last month, the Chaser wowed ITV viewers with her singing skills when she appeared on The X Factor: Celebrity.
During the singing contest, Jenny belted out a string of popular hits including Adele’s James Bond track Skyfall and Lady Gaga’s hit Edge of Glory.
For many of her performances she ditched her trademark glasses and took to the stage in glamorous gowns.
In her last appearance on TV, she dazzled in a red sequin evening dress and sported glittery hair.
The singer made it to the final of the show, but eventually lost out to reality star Megan McKenna, 27.
