Rockstar Games has released its Weekly GTA 5 update which makes some notable changes to the online experience.
And more is being planned later this week, with the Grand Theft Auto Diamond Casino Heist set to get a very festive flavour.
As confirmed in the latest patch notes from Rockstar Games, GTA 5 is seeing some winter upgrades, with snow set to return very soon.
But gamers completing the various missions for the Casino Heist will also notice that the building has been given a makeover.
In the spirit of the season, a variety of festive gifts, bonuses, and more have been arranged for GTA Online.
The new holiday decorations at the Diamond Casino & Resort and other local businesses are just the easiest to spot.
Snowfall is predicted across Los Santos in the coming days, but there’s also plenty of free holiday clothing items to snap up.
These will be available to players who log in by January 1st, players while players who log in on December 25th will get a free Invade and Persuade RC Tank from Warstock Cache & Carry.
But before you grab that tiny package of destruction, gamers will have the chance to unlock the Green Reindeer Lights Bodysuit and Firework Launcher on December 24.
And it appears there is more free gifts being planned by Rockstar Games to keep players coming back to the game.
“Los Santos is getting into the holiday spirit in a big way,” a message from the GTA Online team explains.
“Local businesses, including The Diamond Casino & Resort, are decking their halls with towering trees, boughs of holly and wreathes of glittering tinsel.
“Retail workers have been driven halfway insane stocking the shelves with crate after crate of holiday-themed clothing, accessories and weaponry. And Weazel News’ crackpot weather team have even forecast a rare spate of snowfall in the coming days, meaning you and your buddies can get together and indulge in an honest-to-goodness, old-fashioned snowball fight.
“Keep an eye on GTA Online to spot festive gifts with your name on them. Through the holidays you’ll have chances to get free Festive Bodysuits, Fireworks, Miniguns, Snacks, Armor and all new toys. Plus get explosive goodies through until New Year’s Eve, so check back in daily to see what’s stuffing your stocking.”
That’s without mentioning the new Grotti Furia Supercar, which is part of the new Casino Heist DLC.
“Those rolling curves. That untouchable elegance. The roaring, raging lust for speed. You don’t know what to take in, or how to react. You’re experiencing Grotti love at first sight. And with a monocoque like this, it’s okay to start blushing.

This latest vehicle launch is part of Rockstar’s drip-feed strategy, meaning more content will be arriving soon.
More cars and content are expected to arrive over the coming weeks and into January 2020.
