Channing Tatum And Jessie J Call It Quits After One Year Of Dating

Channing Tatum and Jessie J have split after one year of dating, according to a new report. An insider claims that the couple broke up “about a month ago,” and it was amicable.

People magazine has confirmed the split rumor that was first reported by Us Weekly. Tatum and Jessie – born Jessica Cornish – haven’t been seen together in public since October, and an insider says that there was no major blowout fight. Instead, the couple simply decided it was time to move on.

“There wasn’t any drama. They just decided to part ways and are still good friends,” says the insider.

Another source adds, “Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align. They had a fun relationship, but it just didn’t work out. Channing needs to be in LA a lot so he can spend time with Everly (Tatum’s six-year-old daughter with ex-wife Jenna Dewan). Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though.”

The Magic Mike star and Bang Bang singer first sparked romance rumors in October 2018 when they were spotted on a mini golf date. It was just a few months after Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced their separation, and around the same time that the former couple filed for divorce.

They went public with their relationship back in March when cameras caught the duo holding hands in London. Since then, Tatum has attended Jessie’s concerts regularly, and she also wrote a song about him that she debuted during a show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles back in September while Tatum was in the audience.

Jessie admitted during the relationship that she and Tatum were photographed together before they officially started dating, and that “created such pressure.” She explained that they needed time to get to know each other.

While Tatum’s relationship has ended, his ex-wife has moved on with Steve Kazee and they are expecting their first child together.

Insiders say that Tatum and Dewan’s split has turned nasty in recent weeks after he petitioned the court to get involved in their holiday custody schedule instead of talking directly to Dewan. One source revealed that the former couple is on “poor terms” and no longer have any love or respect for each other because of how they chose to move on with their lives.

The source said that Dewan sees Tatum as a “heartless cheeseball” who rushed into a romance with Jessie J, while Tatum sees his ex as a “super-controlling and petty minded hypocrite.”
