Ellie Goulding addresses involvement in shocking car incident as she slams fellow drivers

Singer Ellie Goulding, 32, took to Instagram to address reports about her involvement in the incident in view of her 14 million followers today. The songstress and her driver are said to have helped a man who was trapped inside a Volkswagen GTi, while it was being pushed along a busy dual-carriageways by a Royal Mail truck.

In footage which has circulated on social media, vehicles can also be heard honking their horns whilst driving alongside the delivery truck in a bid to save the Volkswagen driver.

Motorists can also be heard shouting, “What the f*** are you doing man?!” before the delivery driver stops.

He is believed to have said that he didn’t see the Volkswagen and told him to pull over so they could speak.

Ellie was a passenger in a Range Rover driving alongside the collision and has since said her driver was trying to get the attention of the truck driver.

“On a side note, I can’t believe the first instinct of the other drivers who got out was to instantly start filming on their phones and shout abuse at the poor shocked driver,” she added.

“Not even checking the other driver was okay. What on earth.”

According to Irish news, A Royal Mail spokesman said of the incident: “We are very concerned about this incident.

“We sincerely hope that no one was hurt. We are investigating as a matter of urgency.”
