The likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Joel Matip and Naby Keita were all signed from teams that Rangnick has had involvement with over the last few years.
Firmino joined Liverpool from Hoffenheim, Keita signed from Leipzig while Mane and Matip left Salzburg and Schalke respectively.
“It’s definitely no coincidence that he has four former players of mine (Firmino, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Joel Matip),” Rangnick joked.
