Harry Styles was the guest host of The Late Late Show with James Cordon on Tuesday night, and one of his guests was his ex-girlfriend Kendall Jenner. After the revealing interview, the duo played a few rounds of Cordon’s famous bit “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” which required them to either answer extremely personal questions, or eat a nasty food item that the other picked out.
Styles told the audience that neither he nor Jenner had looked at the questions in advance. Then, for the first question, Styles gave Jenner the option of drinking 1,000-year-old egg nog, or ranking her siblings in order from best to worst according to their parenting skills. After saying all of her siblings are “amazing” parents, Jenner decided to spill her guts. She put her step-brother Rob Karadashian at the top of the list, followed by Khloe, Kim, Kylie, and Kourtney.
Next, it was Styles’ turn to answer a question. But, when the 24-year-old supermodel asked him “Which songs on your last album were about me?” the 25-year-old singer couldn’t tell her, even though she was “dying to know” the answer.
Styles immediately covered his face with his hand and started laughing. Then, he tucked a napkin into his shirt and grabbed a fork and knife to dive into a bowl of cod sperm that Jenner had chosen for him to eat if he refused to answer.
The singer teased the audience and Jenner a little by saying, “So, I’d say track…” before taking a bite of the Japanese delicacy. As he slowly chewed, Jenner told Styles to “just swallow it.” And, at that point, the singer turned to the crowd and said, “To spit or to swallow, that is the question.”
Styles finally spit out the cod sperm into a bucket before taking a drink of water. He continued to gag, and told the audience, “It really carries an aftertaste.”
For the next round, Styles asked Jenner – the highest paid supermodel in the world – to name “the most unlikable supermodel.” Jenner said she knows the answer, but opted to drink a salmon smoothie instead.
Styles answered Jenner’s next question for him: “Have you ever watched an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians?” Styles said he did see it once, and everyone was eating salads in the kitchen and shouting at each other.
Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner briefly dated in 2013, and then they apparently rekindled their romance in 2015 and 2016 when they were spotted on vacation in Anguilla and also spent three days together in Los Angeles. But now, they are “just friends.”
