Melania Trump fury: 'Trashy' FLOTUS attacked on Twitter while spreading holiday cheer

The First Lady, and wife of US president Donald Trump, joined Toys for Tots and the US Marines to hand out toys to children. She shared images of the event on her Twitter page, which depicted her meeting the children. Melania captioned the post: “For nearly seven decades Toys For Tots USA and the US Marines have been dedicated to ensuring that all children have a toy under the Christmas tree.

“Today I was joined by military families to support this effort and spread holiday cheer within our community!”

The “heartwarming” post from the First Lady was soon met with backlash from her critics.

One Twitter user claimed Melania was the “least active and sincere First Lady ever”.

Some believed Melania’s charitable trip out was for publicity.

Allison Midgal wrote on Twitter: “It would have been sweeter if you didn’t tell the world.”

Some took the opportunity to take take a swipe at Trump.

Kristina Wong commented: “What toy are you bringing back for your husband?”

Another Twitter user wrote: “Hey, you know what would really spread Holiday Cheer? A hearty resignation.”
