EastEnders spoilers: Leo King to be thwarted after horrific murder twist?

EastEnders viewers witnessed the arrival of Leo King’s (played by Tom Wells) mother Michaela Turnbull (Fiona Allen) this evening. After making it known she didn’t like the fact Leo was back in Walford she was left injured by her son. But is his fate now sealed?

BBC One viewers recently learnt Leo’s father was Tony King, the infamous pedophile in Walford who groomed Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).

Following a prison sentence he took his own life in prison, but Leo is convinced his father was innocent of the heinous crime.

Since then, Leo has been spending a lot of time with Whitney in a bid to avenge his father.

Although this isn’t known by Whitney, Michaela was not happy about it, and was quick to confront her son about the horrific situation he had created.

But things quickly got out of hand when Whitney called Leo, revealing the relationship he has with her to his mother.

While Michaela told her son to “get in the car” Leo refused, and instead began dragging his mother along the road.

In a brutal set of scenes, Leo pulled his mother behind a set of bins and swung his briefcase viciously at her.

It was at this point the scene cut, and later showed Leo arriving at the Queen Vic to see Whitney once again.

It looks like Leo may have killed off his mother during her first visit to Walford.

And, although viewers know Whitney may be his next target, it is not yet certain whether Leo will be caught for the murder of his mother yet.

Alternatively, could his mother have survived, and will in fact return to bring him to justice?

Meanwhile, fans of the show have since been theorising about the end of Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) reign in the coming weeks.

As Linda’s alcoholism continues in the coming episodes, she will find herself a little worse for wear one cold night.

This horrific situation will see her stumbling around Walford without all of her inhibitions.

The tragic scene will see the landlady failing to keep her wits about her as she falls asleep in the streets.

It may be down to Lee Carter (Danny Hatchard) to save her, as he is on his way back to town.

But will he be able to keep his mum from harm?

Speaking about the upcoming return of Lee, Linda star Kellie recently announced: “As thrilled and excited as she is to see him, the timing of his appearance isn’t good…”

She added: “It was really lovely. It was great to do scenes with him again and lovely to have him around.

It was also great to be able to be a mum to an older child again – I’ve missed playing that parental role.”

EastEnders returns tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
