Nikki Bella was put to the ultimate test when you’re trying to become someone’s permanent significant other. The Total Divas star met Artem Chigvintsev’s parents which was a more complicated situation than you can imagine.
Nikki was forced to communicate with her boyfriend’s mom and dad with a language barrier separating them due to the fact that they only spoke Russian!
Regardless of the many possible bad ways that could have gone, the Bella twin made a good impression on them.
She opened up about the experience on the Bella Twins podcast.
‘First of all, it was the first time Artem saw his parents in five years and his brother — so, he was so nervous and excited and emotional. It started to make me feel all these things. But, I’m not gonna lie, I was really nervous.’
She went on to explain that there were so many feelings at the reunion that everyone cried.
She then revealed: ‘They don’t know English. I don’t know Russian, but somehow we made it work. I loved it, they’re the sweetest people in the world… It’s crazy when you’re put in the situation where you have a language barrier and you’re forced to communicate without speaking.’
Artem’s parents said that they liked Nikki a lot.
This comes after the former Dancing With the Stars choreographer told the reality star that his parents asked when they were going to have children.
Both Artem and Nikki absolutely want to have babies but the twin claims she wants to do it the right way — starting with a wedding.
Unlike her relationship with John Cena, Chigvinsev won’t have to be talked into wanting marriage or kids because he has made it clear that he wants both with his lady love.

As expected, the 36-year-old is hesitant when it comes to getting engaged but she is excited for her future with her new beau.
