Kelvin Fletcher: Strictly star and Oti Mabuse look glum following It Takes Two appearance

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kelvin Fletcher, 35, and his dance partner Oti Mabuse looked unhappy when they were pictured in the back of a cab on Wednesday following an appearance on It Takes Two.

The casually dressed soap star and professional dancer appeared to be shattered as they looked away from one another when they were whisked away by the taxi.

Emmerdale actor Kelvin, who was dressed in a grey tracksuit, could be seen playing on his phone while his partner looked out of the window in the other direction.

Reports in the press suggest Oti, 29, who is married to dancer Marius Iepure, is unhappy with her celebrity partner following a decision he made regarding his wedding anniversary.

During an appearance on This Morning, former Emmerdale actor Kelvin revealed he did not spend his fourth wedding anniversary with wife Liz Marsland this year, deciding to focus on the ballroom dancing competition instead.

The extra hours in the dance studio seem to have paid off for Kelvin and Oti, with the pair scoring an almost perfect 39 points for their Beauty and the Beast themed American Smooth routine during Musicals Week.

Despite being away from his wife, the actor did mark his special day on social media, with a sweet post dedicated to her.

He wrote: “28th November 2015. Happy 4 Years Wedding Anniversary darling. You’re the love of my life @eliza_marsland #creatingmemories.”

This week, the contestants will perform two dances on Saturday night’s live show, in order to secure a place in next week’s final.

Kelvin and Oti will compete against Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke, Chris Ramsay and Karen Hauer, and Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden.

They will dance the Paso Doble and Quickstep in the semi-final this weekend.

During their appearance on Wednesday’s It Takes Two, Kelvin said he was finding it much harder to master two dances.

He told the show’s host Zoe Ball: “We’ve had a tough day today. It’s been a really tough day. Just the thought of doing two dances in a week. It takes me so long to learn a dance.”

“Normally by a Thursday, I’m normally just learning the dance.”

He continued: “I’m praying it’s going to be enough on Saturday.”
