Helen Skelton: Countryfile star ‘admitted to hospital’ with son, 2, as she praises NHS

Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton, 36, told her 138,000 followers that her and her youngest son Louis were admitted to hospital a few months ago, but didn’t disclose the reasons why. The mother-of-two said she didn’t tell her fans about the news at the time as she didn’t want to draw attention to her family.

Helen shared a picture of herself alongside her son enjoying quality time together today.

Part of her lengthy caption read: “As I listen to a report on the pressure NHS staff experience on @bbcradio1… a few months back me and my littlest dude were admitted to hospital.

“It wasn’t a big deal and I don’t post about things like that because it prompts attention my family don’t deserve.

“But I am posting now because I want to say thank you to the NHS staff who have helped my family, old and young on countless occasions.”
