Rick and Morty ending: 'Hard to say goodbye' Summer Smith star teases series conclusion

Rick and Morty (both played by Justin Rolland) have jumped back into their chaotic space adventures for season four. As a number of ridiculous scenarios have begun cropping up once again, so too have the other residents of the Smith family. But while Jerry Smith (Chris Parnell) has had a decent amount of screen time, Summer Smith (Spencer Grammar) has yet to make her true debut.

Summer has been involved in the show since its conception back in 2013.

During her time on the show she has become an integral part of the Smith family and has event joined the titular characters on a number of adventures.

The surprise end of the show would be a huge blow for fans, especially as they were a little shocked when the show didn’t air as usually scheduled.

This is presumably due to Thanksgiving in the US, with other shows including Riverdale, taking a break due to lower viewing figures.

One fan angrily wrote on Twitter: “Hey wtf, we waited like two years for this and we’re only getting half the season rn [right now], just release episodes on schedule like was said.”

The show is due to return this coming weekend, resuming the proceedings, and giving fans the fourth episode of season four.
