Ivanka Trump shock: First Daughter to go to prison this week

First Daughter Ivanka Trump caused widespread shock when it was announced she would be visiting prison this week. However, not all is at it seems as she is actually just touring the Indiana Women’s Prison, not making a permanent stop herself. The Indianapolis Star news site confirmed that President Donald Trump’s daughter will be making the visit this week.

On Wednesday evening, members of the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board will tour Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.

Ms Trump is co-chair of the board, along with US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

The next day, board members will tour the Indiana Women’s Prison.

There, they will learn about The Last Mile, a computer coding program for inmates.

The board will also hold its fourth meeting Thursday at the Indiana Women’s Prison.

The meeting will be open to the public via audio conference, according to the board’s website.

Along with Mr Holcomb and Mr Ross, other members of the board include Apple CEO Tim Cook, Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America CEO Jim Clark.

It is unclear if all members of the board will be in Indianapolis.

Evidence for impeaching Donald Trump for misconduct in office is “overwhelming”, according to the panel leading the US impeachment inquiry.

The president placed personal political interests “above the national interests of the United States,” it states in a key report to US House lawmakers.

Evidence of misconduct was overwhelming “and so too is the evidence of his obstruction of Congress,” it adds.

The report is designed to lay out the case to remove Mr Trump from office.

He denies any wrongdoing, describing the inquiry as a witch-hunt.
