Power season 6: Did the Serbians shoot Ghost for Jason's murder? All the major clues

After dispatching of the last of the Jimenez cartel in Power season six, episode three by shooting Alicia Jimenez (played by Ana de la Reguera), Jason (Mike Dopud) cemented himself as the number one drug supplier in New York City. As such, Jason began working closely with Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and was keen to get Ghost (Omari Hardwick) also involved in the distribution of his drugs. However, Ghost couldn’t be convinced and after a series of failed blackmail plots and threats, he killed Jason in episode nine on Starz. But was Jason’s death avenged by his Serbian gang? Here are the clues.

Did the Serbians shoot Ghost?

The murder of Jason had a major impact for one character in particular in the season six midseason finale: Dre (Rotimi).

After strangling Jason in an abandoned penthouse, Ghost framed Dre for his murder by luring him to the location.

He had a security guard hand in the CCTV footage of Dre heading to the roof to the police and soon Dre found himself arrested for the murder.

However, the aftermath of Jason’s death on his Serbian gang wasn’t explored in episode 10, leaving several question marks as to what their reaction would be.

While a third echoed: “There are too many suspects people aren’t even considering.

“The Serbians, Q (Tyrone Marshall Brown), Cash’s Dad etc. One thing is sure Ghost knew something was about to go down and turned off all the lights in order to gain a tactical advantage!”

There is also the fact one of Jason’s henchmen was clearly worried about Jason meeting with Ghost in the first place.

Ahead of the meeting, he offers Jason a gun and is adamant he takes it in with him.

So much so that when Jason goes to leave the car, his henchman holds him back and says: “Take the gun.”

With such a concern for his wellbeing, surely he and his colleagues wouldn’t rest until they sought vengeance.

And the henchmen in the car with Jason would have surely known it wasn’t Dre who killed his boss but it was, in fact, Ghost.

Unfortunately, the mystery of who shot Ghost won’t be revealed until the final five episodes.

But with the fact Jason’s death has seemingly gone unavenged thus far, there’s is a very clear argument for the gang being behind the trigger.
