Nicole Scherzinger: Pussycat Dolls slammed for racy X Factor show ‘Put some clothes on'

Nicole Scherzinger, 41, certainly made a statement when she reunited to perform with the Pussycat Dolls on Saturday evening on X Factor: Celebrity as she wore a very raunchy, sheer outfit. The singer left little to the imagination in the racy attire, which comprised of an extremely busty crop top with the rest of her outfit being completely see-through.

The rest of her bandmates, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt, were also scantily-clad.

The US band gyrated on stage as they belted out a medley of their greatest hits including Buttons, When I Grow Up and Don’t Cha during the eye-popping performance.

But, their moves didn’t resonate well with viewers, with many stating it’s a “family show” whilst others criticised their barely-there outfits.

One person tweeted: “@TheXFactor @pussycatdolls and @NicoleScherzy Disgusting what they wore on X factor.”

Another said: “Sooo… the X factor is no longer a family show! Shame on you @TheXFactor Put some clothes on @NicoleScherzy.”

A third fumed: “@NicoleScherzy you are an embarrassment. There are young girls that look up to you and you think it is acceptable to wear a thong and a bra on the X factor A YOUNG KIDS SHOW!! No wonder young girls are so insecure with themselves because of people like you!! HAVE SOME DIGNITY FFS.”(sic)

However, not everyone was outraged with their performance as some complimented their look, with one writing: “Nicole Scherzinger looks f*****g unreal in that Pussycat Dolls X Factor performance.”

Another praised: “Hang on- people really losing their minds over @pussycatdolls X Factor performance being ‘too raunchy’ – are you wet wipes forgetting that their origins are as a burlesque group?? Y’all just mad cause NicoleScherzy is hotter than you.”(sic)

During the show, former The Only Way is Essex star Megan McKenna was crowned champion.

The reality favourite triumphed over The Chase quizzer Jenny Ryan, Max and Harvey and group V5.

Elsewhere, Nicole has recently been at the centre of romance rumours regarding contestant Thom Evans, who was part of group Try Star on the show.

Earlier this month, it was reported Nicole enjoyed a date with the rugby player but the singer has now said she isn’t “focused” on pursuing any romance.

She told ITV’s Richard Arnold: “Thom is lovely, Thom is lovely. But as you just reminded me how crazy busy I am that is totally not what I am focused on right now.”

While Thom had also recently addressed the claims and similarly to what Nicole said, he admitted they don’t have much “time”.

The ex-Scotland rugby international added he finds Nicole “lovely and stunning, talented and amazing”.

He told Mail Online: “She’s stunning. And has [romance] crossed my mind? Yes. But we don’t have much time.”

Despite denying any romance, the two were seen arriving together at Simon Cowell’s Thanksgiving dinner in London on Friday evening.

In pictures published by the Daily Mail, the pair were captured entering the venue with Nicole leading the way.

The Hawaiian-born star wrapped up warm in a fluffy white coat and wide-brimmed hat, whilst Thom was dressed in a dark jacket and could be seen carrying a duffle bag.

The X Factor: Celebrity is available to catch up on ITV Hub.
