But speaking about the possibility of ever coming back, Martins referenced how her character was not killed off.
She said: “We wanted to make the best exit, and they didn’t want to kill me off.
“There was no reason to. It was perfect for me because I wanted to say goodbye to Camille and the audience.
“And who knows, there’s always the possibility I can come back.”
While nothing has been revealed about any potential returns yet, it certainly seems both actors would be keen to reprise their roles.
Death in Paradise returns in January 2020.
