James Martin: 'I don't care!' Saturday Morning chef hits back at ITV show's director

James Martin, 47, was joined by McFly star Dougie Poynter, chefs Brian Turner and Nisha Katona on his Saturday Morning show last weekend. The chef made a scrumptious Apple Tarte Tatin for his guests.

Whilst making the delicious desert, James had a go at the director, who was telling him to hurry up and finish the dish.

As he cut the Tarte Tatin, James said: “I’ve been a pastry chef for 30 odd years, but I don’t think there is a better desert than this.”

Explaining how to finish off the dish, he went on: “You can take this classic Tarte Tatin, you can serve this with ice cream.”

Heading towards the freezer, James said: “And I’ve got a little bit of ice cream.”

“ITV chuffed as is the team… b****y hard work pays off!”

On a previous episode, James was joined by Chris Kamara who made an hilarious blunder on the show.

The football pundit had everyone falling in fits of giggles as he mistake a vegetable Celeriac for celiac, a disease which causes inflammation and damage to the small intestine and is caused by an adverse reaction to gluten, according to the NHS.

James said: “I’m going to do a little dish – a vegetarian dish. But this is Celeriac.”
