Across the United States, preparations are underway for Thanksgiving, a national holiday which will see plenty of food, time with loved ones and festive fun. For many, Thanksgiving is the start of the festive season, and lots of the US will have time off work to celebrate.

Walgreens: Most stores will be open regular hours but most pharmacies will be closed.
Walmart: Most stores open all day Thanksgiving with in-store Black Friday sale starting 6pm
Kmart: 6am to midnight; reopens 6am Friday
Best Buy: 5pm to 1am Friday; reopens 8am Friday
