AJ and Saffron were voted off of the show after a dance off against Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden last weekend.
The duo performed their Samba routine for a second time in a bid in a bid to stay in the competition, but all four judges favoured their competitors’ performance.
This result is the third consecutive year that AJ and a dance partner have been given the boot after performing the Samba, with the dancer recently calling it a “curse”.
Discussing this, Saffron added to the hosts: “I think we kind of put it in our head that it’s not going to happen [again] because all you can do is believe in yourself.
