Melania Trump fury: FLOTUS mocked over Star Wars actor's hilarious BeBest campaign tweet

The First Lady and wife of US President Donald Trump was met with boos while addressing a youth opioid awareness event on Tuesday. When Melania came onto the stage at the BeBest event, the teenagers of Baltimore let the First Lady know what they thought of her and her husband. CNN’s Kate Bennett said she was a bit taken aback by the reaction, noting that she couldn’t recall another event where the First Lady has been “more negatively received.”

Hamill, best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, has not shied away in the past from mocking the Trump administration.

He did not miss a beat this time and was quick to join others in poking fun at the First Lady.

The actor reinvented Melania’s campaign with a new nickname.

He trolled the First Lady and BeBest with the hashtag BooBest.

Despite the support, some social media users condemned the actor for his attack on the Melania.

One Person commented: “They are tearing you apart, Mark.

“Melania Trump, and BeBest are both great, but I still think you are pretty cool too, even if you’ve done some seriously bad movies lately.”

Corey Thomas wrote: “Mark, you’re better than this.”

Ian wrote to the actor: “Mark I love your work, but after last Jedi are you really in a position to comment on crowds booing something?”

Kim Harkey wrote: “Whether you like her or not, making fun of her addressing the Opioid crisis is a slap in the face.

“So you’re for the opioid crisis? Luke the Force is not with you! Sickening!”

Jay Besser commented: “Did Disney really break you this badly? Get well Mark.”

In response to the negative reaction, the First Lady spoke to the New York Times.

She said: “We live in a democracy and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

“I remain committed to educating children on the dangers and deadly consequences of drug abuse.”
