Karen was “lost for words” after hearing about Gary’s death and said her thoughts go out to his family.
On Karen Hardy Studios Twitter account, on behalf of the choreographer, they tweeted: “With Karen being away in China, she has limited access to social media and has asked us to post on her behalf.
“I am truly speechless and lost for words but my heart and thoughts go out to his beautiful family at this time. RIP xxx.”
Gary and Karen were the third pair to be voted out of the competition, which actor Tom Chambers went on to win with Camilla Dallerup.
