Instead, they suggest keeping an eye on the most popular days and steering clear of them.
“The busiest time for Christmas flights is from Christmas Eve until the 28 December, with the 27th and 28th extremely popular dates for fliers to return,” explains Expedia.
“The 21st is also a very popular date to fly, so these should be avoided if possible.”
In fact, along with the reduced ticket prices, the My Baggage research also found that flights to some destinations actually cost more on the big day.
Thos departing for from London to Kiev, Marrakech, Nice, Paris and Tenerife actually cost more than any other day of the month.
