We may witness “CNBC” for E-sports and Gaming

SportGrids co-founder wants to create giant TV like CNBC for E-sports and gambling. While talking with CNBC, Louis Maione, shared his dream. The co-founder said that it would be a dream come true if we see CNBC type of TV for E-sports and gambling.

Louis believes that E-sports and gambling are the future, and no one can stop progress. Meanwhile, Louis noted that those industries need more attention. In Maione’s mind, those industries are next trillion-dollar sectors that we should take a look after. Louis is serious about his dream and promised to journalists that he is going to talk with investors about the idea.

Louis will be historically right

Maione’s dream could be a real deal. If we take a look at the statistics, it could blow our minds.

Developed countries decided to change their perspective on gambling. Casino operators became trendy in the last decade. Developed countries like Australia, the USA, and the Philippines did everything to create friendly legal space for Casino operators.

If the US became handy for tourists because of Las Vegas and the land of miracle, Australia and the Philippines went through different paths. Especially Australia, where we see a very progressive government that tries best to squeeze out as much revenue from the gaming industry as possible. With the latest data, we find that Australian online casinos pay more than a billion Australian dollars every year, and the number is getting bigger every year.

EU countries changed the approach to the gaming industry

Respective members of the EU platform have different legal frameworks for the gambling industry. Economically powerful countries have legally enabled licenses to Casino operators. For example, Switzerland and the Netherlands are very soft to offline and online gambling operators. Although both countries have a different approach, budgets get high revenue from local casino operators.

Gambling activities are fully enabled and legal in the Netherlands. At the same time, the Netherlands authorities have some restrictions when it comes to licensing. Every gaming operator should follow the very strict recipe to get a legal license.

Even though Switzerland and the Netherlands get almost the same, high revenue in the budget from Casino taxes, Switzerland had a very flexible approach. Parliament got the bill called “Federal Law on Games of Chance and Casinos” in 1993 with some restrictions. With the new bill, current law changed and eliminated all restrictions.
