PS4 free game WARNING: Last chance to download incredible PlayStation shooter

PS4 owners be warned: there’s only a few hours left to take advantage of one of Sony’s best game giveaways yet.

PlayStation 4 fans can download and play the incredible Borderlands 3 for free for a limited time.

The free Borderlands 3 game trial – which is available ahead of the December PS Plus reveal – runs until 5pm UK time on November 25.

If you download now, you still get a full evening, night, morning and afternoon of looting and shooting action.

It’s a pretty hefty download, however, so you’d better get on the download now if you don’t want to miss out.

The news was announced by 2K: “If you haven’t played Borderlands 3 yet and want to try before you buy, take advantage of the Free Play Weekend happening right now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

“Between the start and end times detailed below, you can spend as much time shooting and looting on planets like Pandora, Promethea and Eden-6 as you like.

“Should you decide to purchase the game, your progress (and your loot!) will of course be saved.”

Fans can download the Borderlands 3 free game trial from the PlayStation Store, either online or through the console itself.

Just sign into your PlayStation account, search for the standard edition of Borderlands 3 and hit the “Try Free Demo” button to access the game.

“Note that this button will not appear on the store pages for the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions of the game,” 2K explains.

As an added bonus, the games are discounted for the duration of the Borderlands 3 free event, so you can grab a bargain ahead of Black Friday.

Representing a saving of 41%, the standard edition is available for £34.99 from the PlayStation Store, or £35.99 from the Xbox Store.

Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions of the game are also discounted. The Super Deluxe Edition represents the best value for money, costing £64.99.

Down from the normal (and frankly ridiculous) price of £104.99, the Super Deluxe Edition comes with bonus content and four upcoming DLC packs.

Described as a “mayhem filled thrill ride”, Borderlands 3 tasks players with stopping the Calypso Twins from uniting the bandit clans.

“The original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and a mayhem-fuelled adventure!” reads the official description.

“Blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four new Vault Hunters. Play solo or with friends to take on insane enemies, score loads of loot and save your home from the most ruthless cult leaders in the galaxy.”
