Galaxy S11 laid bare in this ultimate Samsung leak

Some major changes could be coming to the Galaxy S11.

Renowned leaker OnLeaks has collaborated with 91Mobiles to bring Android fans purported renders of Samsung’s forthcoming flagship. And there’s a few reasons for Android fans to get giddy with excitement.

First and foremost, the device was shown with an all-screen design similar to its predecessor. However, just like the Galaxy Note 10, the handset was exhibited with a hole punch cutout positioned in the middle of its screen at the top rather than off to the side. The render purports earlier claims from leakster Ice Universe.

The back of the S11 are where the biggest changes could debut, though. The handset was shown with a new rectangular camera module housing as many as five cameras.

Most of the rumours about Samsung’s newest flagship have focused on its camera. In particular, the device has been tipped to boast a new version of the South Korean tech giant’s current 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor.

In addition to delivering pixel-packed pictures, it’s been rumoured the lens leveraged could allow the S11 to record in up to 8K.

Additionally, 91Mobiles has claimed the hardware could tote an impressive 5x optical zoom and software wizardry akin to Apple’s Deep Fusion to ensure pictures retain more details in certain shooting scenarios.

Elsewhere, the S11 was shown with an expected USB-C port and no headphone jack.

91Mobiles purported earlier rumours the S11 will launch in three flavours: a standard, e, and plus model. The first two will reportedly be made available in 4G and 5G versions while the plus variant will apparently only come with 5G capabilities. That means we could see five S11 models in total.

In terms of screen sizes, each S11 model is expected to receive a bump up over its predecessor. 91Mobiles has said the S11e may come with a panel varying between 6.3 and 6.4-inches while the regular S11 and S11+ could flaunt 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch displays respectively.

Besides a new camera system and larger display, it seems the Galaxy S11 will also be available in new colours that’ll let your friends know you’ve got Samsung’s latest and greatest.

Teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal has said the Galaxy S11e will launch in blue, grey and a new pink finish that will presumably act as this year’s flamboyant choice, replacing last year’s canary yellow.

Additionally, he claimed the regular Galaxy S11 (presumably the standard and plus model) will arrive in blue, grey and black colours and that an “S10 lite” will also launch in black, blue and white finishes.

Although both OnLeaks and 91Mobiles have an excellent track record with smartphone leaks, it’s still worth taking the new renders with a pinch of salt, primarily because the S11 isn’t expected to be formally unveiled until February.
