Charley Webb: 'Cannot cope' Emmerdale’s Debbie Dingle star 'in bits' over emotional moment

Charley Webb, 31, took to Instagram to admit she was overcome with emotion after watching her former Emmerdale co-star Kelvin Fletcher gush about his wife Liz Marsland on Strictly Come Dancing. The actress, who is married to Matthew Wolfenden, filmed several scenes with Kelvin as her character Debbie Dingle was in a relationship with the Strictly hopeful’s character Andy Sugden in the ITV soap.

While tuning into the BBC dance competition, Charley admitted she was “in absolute bits” due to the actor’s romantic VT before his Couple’s Choice routine.

She posted in view of her 371,000 followers: “In absolute bits from @Kelvin_Fletcher’s VT.

“Cannot cope too much love @Eliza_Marsland beyond cute #Strictly.”

During the VT, Kelvin paid tribute to his childhood sweetheart and dedicated his and Oti Mabuse’s performance to their marriage.

Kelvin performed his Contemporary routine to their first dance song Do I Love You (Indeed I Do) by Frank Wilson.

“It will mean so much,” he explained to viewers ahead of the performance.

He recalled: “When she walked down that aisle she took my breath away. Best moment of my life, it was just amazing.

“I just want Liz to know how lucky I feel. Thank you for giving me two amazing incredible children.”

Elsewhere, Charley spoke out about why she took her three-year-old son Bowie to get his hair cut and denied it was as a result of receiving negative comments about his longer locks.

She said in a video: “Can’t believe how many messages I’ve had asking if I’ve cut Bowie’s hair because of negative comments on Instagram or online.

“No, the answer to that is no.”

She added: “If I was cutting my child’s hair because people were being negative, that would be very worrying.”
