Andrea McLean: Loose Women star wows in plunging black dress at charity ball

Speaking about the origins of the charity, Andrea said: “Aamer and Lesley Khan began the charity after helping badly burned and injured servicemen and women with their scarred skin, helping aesthetically and relieving pain. This then grew to helping mentally, providing psychological support. And then practically, helping veteran soldiers get their life ‘Back On Track’.”

She went on to say talk about the annual Back On Track race day which the charity holds, and added: “They also help in a way that not many people would think of – by raising funds to buy specially adapted go-karts so that amputees are able to race alongside able-bodied drivers.

This gives the adrenaline rush of speed and competitiveness that’s also lost after serious injury.”
