Before Karim and Amy battled it out for their place in the competition, former Strictly pro James Jordan claimed the CBBC presenter doesn’t have the same “exuberance” as his rival Kelvin Fletcher.
In his column with wife Ola Jordan for HELLO! Magazine, James said: “Karim is technically the best dancer in the show by a million miles but he doesn’t have the Kelvin factor.
“He doesn’t have the rawness, the exuberance. It’s almost like Karim is too good, he’s too polished.”
The Ballroom and Latin dance expert admitted his comments may sound “weird” but that Karim lacks the “persona” needed to excel in the routines.
